About

“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” -unknown

About me:

I’m a modest girl with many projects and dreams. After much adversity throughout my life and well into adulthood, I completed my B.Ed with distinction. I am extremely proud of this accomplishment! I am currently a public high school teacher and I have a deep love for what I do (and some frustration related to the reality of the system). I’d like to complete an M.Ed in citizenship education and/or character education. For now, I let life happen and try to navigate it as best I can.

On a more personal note, I’m an outgoing introvert (if that makes any sense), I love new challenges and I love to “connect”. I’m a non-conformist in many ways and while I can be pessimistic, I try to find the good in all things and people. If I were rich, I’d  travel the globe and dedicate my life to helping others and making this world a better place.

Who I’d like to meet:

Narayanan Krishnan! (One day I will and I’ll hang around for a while to help him out.)

General Interests:

social issues, human rights,  developing awareness, reading, spending time with friends and family, travelling, learning about the world, helping and motivating others, spreading love and happiness, documentaries, history, art, slam poetry, music……………. I’ll stop there… I think this is good enough 😉

A Few of My Life Goals:

  • make sure my son grows up to be the best version of himself and an awesome human being
  • travel the world with my husband and son to do various humanitarian work
  • take things a lot less seriously and enjoy every moment as it comes
  • take better care of myself (I always put myself last)
  • learn and move on with more grace
